The founding members of Jones and Smith, Bobby Jones and Julian “Butch” Smith, are both experienced trial lawyers.

Bobby Jones who is originally from Reidsville, Tattnall County, Georgia, obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia Southern University in 1974 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 1977. He has over 25 years of trial experience and is an established member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Jones has had the privilege of being a guest speaker for several seminars in the firm's areas of expertise. He has served on the State Bar of Georgia's Investigative Panel for disciplinary actions and has been selected for membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Jones also served as Chairman of the Insurance Law section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Julian "Butch" Smith who is originally from Lumber City, Georgia, obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University in 1978 and a Juris Doctor from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1984. He has almost 20 years of trial experience and has also been selected for membership with the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is an established member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Smith has also had the privilege of being a guest speaker for numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars in the firm's areas of expertise.
